Flightlog 3-06-17

I crashed again,

I have been waiting on some parts now but unfortunately I was trying to figure out an issue to see if it was with my copter or the flight controller config. I do believe that it was the flight controller but I will have to wait and run some diagnostics to see what really caused the crash. I consulted a friend on what I should do regarding the reoccurring input problem I am getting that may or may not be expo related but a fresh start seems like the best move at this point in time. The crash was caused because I “fixed” the broken arm as seen in the previous pictures and this caused enough instability in the gyros to cause the quad to come hurling down. The arms are on the way from BangGood but now the shopping list has increased to include a new set of ESC’s.

WordPress seems to not be allowing me to add media like I normally do so I have done it a little bit differently so if anything is weird feel free to let me know.

So here is a picture of the total damage complete with a broken rear left arm and 1 broken prop. This was a great opportunity to practice some soldering and here are the before and after shots of the leads. What was interesting is that the quad banked straight into the ground and all that happened was the arm turning into plastic shrapnel and losing one prop. The ESC was most likely a victim of friendly fire in the crash and wouldn’t have broken if the arm didn’t explode.

Now the replacement parts are on the way and the only thing left to do is wait.

Until next time,
